The TR TAURUS shear comprises four separate modules that form a single unit consisting of feeding, reduction and cutting. One of these four modules is the TRS (TWO RAMS SQUEEZER), a double-compression reducer. The TRS double-compression reducer is positioned between the open feed hopper and the shear and is equipped with a vertical clamp featuring three stages of reduction and a lateral progressive compression. The combination of these elements results in the dimensional reduction of the scrap.
The first compression takes place vertically, compressing the material from top to bottom below the blade opening. The second compression takes place transversely, compressing the material to a dimension smaller than the width of the fixed blade. The combined action of the double compression reduces the size of the scrap, allowing the material to pass through the shear opening to be cut.
THREE-STAGE VERTICAL CLAMP: The vertical clamp is guided on all four sides by prismatic guides made of synthetic material, designed to trap debris and prevent seizing. The guides are impregnated with self-lubricating substances to ensure continuous operation. The structure is made of thick, wear-resistant steel, with interchangeable inner walls made of wear-resistant sheet metal. The three stages of compression gradually reduce the height of the scrap. In the upper section, there are shaped rams that prevent irregular pieces from escaping. The movement is driven by a double-acting cylinder fitted with linear sensors that constantly monitor the position and allow the work cycle to be programmed.
SIDE PROGRESSIVE COMPRESSION: The side compression shares the same design as the vertical presser. Its geometry is engineered to generate progressive compressioncapable of exerting very high specific loads on the scrap. This facilitates the reduction of the material’s width and prevents it from slipping out of the grip. The force is transmitted by a double-acting hydraulic cylinder equipped with a braking system that dampens movements and prevents end-of-stroke impacts. Are also fitted Linear sensors for continuous position monitoring and automatic cycle management. The side compression also features automatic overstrokewhich is useful for repositioning itself precisely at the cutting width.
The inclined shearTR» compared with traditional side-compression shears, offer the undeniable advantage of continuous feeding and higher specific volume-reduction forces.
