TAURUS SHEARS BALERS - BLULINE
TAURUS SHEARS BALERS - SB
The new range of SB scrap-shear balers includes fixed, mobile, and transportable models, engineered with cutting forces up to 1,500 tons. This line of machines ensures maximum versatility in processing metal scrap, ideal for compressing and shearing profiles, tubes, perforated sheets, rails, mixed and bulky HMS1 & HMS2 scrap, industrial demolition materials, rebar, pre‑packed bundles, and car bodies.

THE SB.XX SHEAR BALER
The shears balers SB.xx are designed according to a “SAFETY-ORIENTED” construction philosophy that combines: operator protection, machine function control and structural robustness.
TAURUS machines represent the evolution of an engineering concept aimed at ease of use and reduced operating costs, with technical solutions developed to cope with intensive and continuous
work cycles.
Safety is the central principle of design.
The machines are developed according to criteria that integrate safety into the design, with particular attention to operator protection, the reliability of the
control systems and the control management of operational phases.
The monobloc construction system, supported by a robust structural frame with an integrated tank for leachate (liquids) recovery, allows the machine to be installed without the need for dedicated foundations, reducing plant commissioning times and costs whilst ensuring high structural rigidity.
The SB oscillating compression system characterized by high load capacity and remarkable operational simplicity, enables efficient handling of different types of scrap, improving feed continuity and productivity.
The “HEAVY-DUTY” structure is designed to withstand the highest mechanical and hydraulic stresses typical of high-intensity industrial applications.
The “BOOSTER” technology, operating at up to 6000 p.s.i. enables high compression and cutting forces to be generated whilst maintaining fast cycle times, energy efficiency and high performance even on the most challenging materials.
Advanced operating programs allow the operating cycle to be automatically adapted to the varying characteristics of the scrap being processed.
The functions of:
- Dedicated production programs;
- Setting of operating parameters;
- Automatic adjustment of operating sequences;
enable the optimization of productivity, energy consumption and processing speed according to the material fed into the machine.
The control interface is designed to ensure ease of use, immediate operability and a quick learning curve for the operator.
Maintenance is made easier by a design that priorities access to the main mechanical and hydraulic components, reducing machine downtime and service costs.
The shear balers produce high-density scrap, offering significant logistical and production benefits:
- Reduced loading times for transport vehicles;
- Lower transport costs;
- Optimized storage logistics;
- Reduced charging times for the melting furnace;
- Increased quantity of material fed into the furnace thanks to the higher density of the sheared scrap;
- Improved overall efficiency of the steelmaking process.
The combination of power, technology, safety and build quality makes this range a solution designed to meet the needs of modern scrap metal recovery and processing plants.
